It’s February, the shortest month of the year, as I write this review. And I’ve just finished reading the shortest book yet to be reviewed—96 pages! This will also be the shortest book review to date. And yes, we sing Doxology , a very short song, almost every Sunday.
Our review this month is The Triune God, written by Clarence H. Benson. It is on a subject so infinitely long, yet in essence infinitely Itself. The author states who the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are in their attributes. He also gives the purpose and interrelation between the Godhead. Benson also reveals their work according to the subject of our creation, salvation, maintenance and glorification. There are review questions at the end of each of the 12 chapters, followed by applicable summary questions.
This book is a “must-read” published by The Evangelical Training Association.
Editor’s Note: This brief book is chock full of basic information and would be an excellent starting point for someone who wants to know more about the nature and character of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, or for someone who needs to be bolstered in their faith. Oswald Chambers is quoted as saying, “Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.”
