On the Lord’s Day:
- 9:15 am — Sunday school classes for all ages: Classes for graded age groups meet to learn from the Scriptures. To see Sunday school classes, ages and meeting locations, click on the red “Ministries” button under the category “Pages” (to the right).
- 10:30 am — We continue to look at The Church around the World from Acts 13. If you have missed any messages recently, please contact the church office if you would like a CD copy. Also, sermons are available for play or download on Elim’s website under the “Sermon” category on the right side of the page.

From the recent Bible Conference at First Baptist Church of Freeport:
Dr. Steven Lawson’s three messages are available for play or download on the church’s website (www.fbcfreeport.com). Under the “Sermon Audio” tab, choose “by Series” and then “2010 Bible Conference.” You’ll be glad you did! The messages were challenging and encouraging!
From the Pastor’s Recent Reading:
Do not ‘tone down’ the phrase in ACTS 13:48 that indicates that certain people were “appointed to eternal life.” The Greek word actually means “enrolled,” and has the idea of names written in a book. While salvation is by grace, through faith, there is also that mysterious working of God whereby we are “chosen in Christ” (Eph. 1:4 ). We do not know who God’s elect are, so we offer the Gospel to all and have confidence that the Spirit will work. —Wiersbe’s Expository Outlines On The New Testament
