- 10:30 am — We celebrate the body and blood of the Lord at the Lord’s Table. Prepare your heart and mind by making sure that you are in right fellowship with God and others according to 1 Corinthians 11:17-33.

Friday, December 24 — Christmas Eve Communion Service: Beginning at 6:30 pm, this hour or so will feature the rich meaning and depth of truth of the traditional carols, the majesty of the Nativity account as it is relayed in the eternal Word, and the remembrance of the body and blood that the Savior took on as the babe in Bethlehem. There is no other time of worship and fellowship like this one, and all are welcome!
On the Lord’s Day:
- 9:15 am — No Sunday school classes this week (12/26)
- 10:30 am —We’ve been studying The Words of Christmas through the words of The Word, the words of Gabriel, and the words of Mary. This week, we’ll focus on the words of the angels from Luke 2:8-14.

Snow Cancellation Notice! Tuesday morning’s Bible study is being cancelled because of the weather. There will be NO BIBLE STUDY on Tuesday morning, December 21st.

Just a few days before Christmas two ladies stood looking into a department store window at a display of the Nativity scene with ceramic figures of the baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men, and assorted animals. Disgustedly, one lady said, “Look at that, the church trying to horn in on Christmas!”
Sadly, that little apocryphal story may not be all that far removed from reality. More and more the world around us—and many so-called churches—have totally removed from their consciousness any semblance or recognition of what Christmas is truly about. Read more…

Here’s what’s happening at Elim this week:
On the Lord’s Day:

- 10:30 am —Are you excited about the upcoming celebration of our Savior’s incarnation? The pastor certainly is! We begin our special season of Christmas celebration in worship as we look at “The Words of Christmas” from John 1:1-5. As we celebrate Communion, the benevolent offering on Sunday will be a special love offering for a visiting missionary who will be with us in worship that day.
- The Encouragers (Elim’s over-60 group) will meet downstairs for a special Christmas luncheon immediately after the morning worship service.
