On the Lord’s Day:
- 9:15 am — Sunday school classes for all ages: Classes for graded age groups meet to learn from the Scriptures. See Sunday school classes, ages and meeting locations.
- 10:30 am — Morning Worship. In our study last week in Habakkuk, we learned that it’s crucial to really KNOW who God is (His character and His attributes) before accusing God of being insensitive or uncaring. And that we must wait on the Lord to reveal His timing! This week, we’ll learn Habakkuk’s response to God’s truths, and learn what our response should be as well! Read Habakkuk 3 to prepare your heart and mind to worship God through His word.

- Wednesday, 6:30 pm: Elim’s Awana Clubs continue for a fun-filled, action packed time.

- Thursday, 10:30 am: Theological Roundtable Discussion Group
Upcoming and Ongoing:
- Once a year, the congregation at Elim meets to be edified in the grace of God as we look back on the previous year, and be encouraged in what the Lord may have for us in the future. This year, our annual meeting will be next Sunday, January 29th. After the morning worship service, we’ll meet downstairs for a potluck meal, then we’ll hear what the Lord has been doing through the faithful saints here at Elim. Each family is asked to bring a hot dish and a cold dish to share.
- On Friday, February 17th, you are invited to an adult Valentine dinner at First Baptist Church of Rockford. The evening will begin at 6:00 with dinner (Chicken Cordon Bleu, vegetables, mashed potatoes, rolls & dessert). The evening will include humor, some Barbershop music and a challenge from the Scriptures by Pastor Larry. The cost for this 1930’s themed evening is $11 per person. Please contact the Elim church office to make reservations. Because this is a catered event, we must have your reservation by Sunday, February 5th. This will be a great time of fellowship and a good opportunity to invite others.
- Want to really dig deep into God’s Word? Join the Elim Theological Roundtable Discussion, meeting every other Thursday morning from 10:30 to Noon, with the next meeting this Thursday, January 26th.
- Not sure what to do on a cold, wintry day? No problem is you’ve checked out the Elim Library! We have devotional reading, Bible studies, fiction, biographies, kids books, videos, and more! Check it out! The library is located behind the door near the church organ in the auditorium.
